Do It Anyway Poem

So anyway today, I found out that I get to keep my job. Needless to say I have been a bit stress out for the last couple of weeks. I have been a long term employee at my company and really did not relish the thought of needing to do a job search. I reinterviewed for my job and had to wait a couple of weeks to find out if I was one of the lucky half. . . which I am grateful to be.

I found the poem while blog hopping a couple of weeks ago (sorry I don’t recall the blog I landed on to read it the first time). The poem captures some of my thoughts during the last couple of weeks, I may not have my job at the end of July but work like you do anyway, which I did. So I leave you with these powerful words of Mother Theresa :

Mother Teresa’s Anyway Poem

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God;
It was never between you and them anyway.

Thank you to my hubby for putting up with some of my stressed out thinking and talking the last couple of weeks. I love you always.
