Here is to a healthier New Year

Check out this article at Parenting Pink. I showed it to my son and told him we are going to be getting serious again about his drink choices when we go out to eat. Over the last year we have been pretty lenient in the ok, you can have soda department and we, his parents, need to really save it for a special treat vs. an every time we eat out experience.

I need to show this to hubby too! He still drinks the sugary drinks on a daily basis, lucky for him he has a great metabolism but it is still not the healthiest of choices and we need to set the good example for the kiddos.

So, first goal of the new year has been shared with the family. Stop drinking soda regularly, drink more water and milk. And the big one for the kiddos is eating fruit and vegetables every day.
